About this Course
The nationally recognized Certificate of Interpretive Hosting (CIH) program is designed for anyone who wants to enhance their customer service skills and learn how to turn informal interactions with visitors into interpretive opportunities. This course will introduce you to the history, definitions, and principles of interpretation. During the course, you will assess host-visitor interactions and leave ready to make positive first impressions that support the mission of your organization.

Select the regular registration if you are not affiliated with the host organization.

Special Terms and Cancellations
Please be advised that instructors have the right to remove disruptive individuals. Participants who are removed will not receive a refund and will be ineligible to register for any future courses conducted by that instructor.
Courses may be canceled due to low enrollment. If this course is canceled, NAI will contact you, and you will receive a full refund.
Cancellations requested before October 26, 2026, will be subject to a $75 cancellation fee; no refunds will be issued after this date. If you need to cancel your registration, it must be emailed to [email protected].
